Danielle Feinberg
Director of Photography - Lighting
Pixar Animation Studios

Danielle Feinberg began her career at Pixar Animation Studios in February 1997 as a Render Technical Director (also called a "Render Wrangler") and was made Lead of Rendering on the feature film A Bug's Life. She then became a lighting artist on the Golden Globe-winning film Toy Story 2, and a modeling artist and master lighter on Monsters, Inc. Feinberg was the Master Lighter and the CG Supervisor of the ocean unit on the Academy-Award© winning, Finding Nemo. In this role she oversaw all technical aspects of the ocean-based footage. Feinberg was Lead Lighting Artist for The Incredibles, and did some short lighting stints on Cars and Ratatouille. She most recently completed work as Director of Photography for Lighting on DisneyoPixar's Academy Award nominated feature WALLoE and is currently working on a future project.

Feinberg's love of computers and art began when she first programmed a computer with Logo when she was eight years old. The further she delved into computer programming and art, the more she strove to combine them. When computer graphics and animation evolved into its own industry, she knew it was the perfect blend of her two passions.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Harvard University, Feinberg moved to the Bay Area and worked for a short time at a multimedia programming firm in San Francisco. In addition to all the work she does with the Pixar team, Feinberg also spends her summers teaching at the Tech Trek Science Camp for Girls at Stanford and Mills College.

Dylan, a graduate of Evergreen State College, currently resides in San Francisco.
