The Asset USD Builder (AUB) is designed to easily build proper USD files from MegaScans and FAB assets using your preferred material type. The AUB scans a selected source directory and all its subfolders for object files (.fbx by default) and texture files. You can then auto-build a component network for all assets found by the AUB, along with their corresponding preview images.

All Solaris component networks can be customized if needed before batch (or individual) exporting them to USD files. The main benefit of the AUB is that you can build proper USD files with your preferred material type. As a production tool, you're not limited to a default shader system, but can instead use a production render engine like Pixar’s RenderMan.
